Child Arrangements Order ("CAO")

CAO’s are designed to regulate with whom a child is to live with and/or spend time with.  Each CAO is decided on the circumstances of the individual family and what is in the best interests of the child(ren).  This is governed by section 8 of the Children Act 1989.

When parents separate or divorce it is important to prioritise the needs of any children.  A Family Lawyer can help parents to reach agreements on whom a child is to live with and spend time with.  When an agreement cannot be reached, there are a range of dispute resolution approaches that can be used to include mediation, collaborative law and arbitration, prior to making an Application to Court where a Judge will rule on child arrangements.

E J Moyle LLP Solicitors can provide expert advice and guide you through the options available in reaching agreement or where agreement cannot be reached, the Court process.

We can also advise in relation to divorce, separation, childcare proceedings, adoption, wardship, domestic violence and injunctions.

Our Family Team is based at 2A Broadmark Parade, Rustington, BN16 2NE.
